Your Thymus is the endocrine gland that is in close association with your Heart Chakra.

So, this post is dedicated to increase your knowledge about the thymus so that your LOVE energy heals and empowers you!

Structure of Thymus

The thymus is located behind your sternum (chest bone) between your lungs. Its activity is at best before puberty. After which, it starts to slowly shrink and become replaced by fat.

The thymus tissue is made of 3 distinct layers: the capsule that covers an outer cortex that surrounds an inner medulla.

Immunity & the Thymus

Even though the thymus is a gland that produces several hormones, it is much more associated with the immune system than with the endocrine one.

Accordingly, thymosin is the hormone produced the thymus that stimulates the maturation of the T-lymphocytes/T-cells (white blood cells responsible for the cell-specific immunity).
