As discussed previously, our Endocrine glands are closely associated with our 7 Chakras. Hence, a better understanding of our glands would help in opening our Chakras.

Since your Sacral Chakra is the energy source of your PASSION, it is no surprise that it is connected with your Reproductive Glands.

Hence, this post will provide a small briefing of their structure, function, and beneficial health tips.

OVARIES: Female Reproductive Glands

Each healthy woman has 2 ovaries located on each side of her uterus (where the baby develops). They extend just below the fallopian tubes (tubes that carry the fertilized egg from the ovaries to the uterus). See the figure below.

Inside the ovaries, the eggs/ovules (female sex cells) are produced. The ovaries also produce the 2 females sex hormones: estrogen and progesterone.

These properties are what make the ovaries essential for female sexuality, reproduction, and well-being.

TESTES: Male Reproductive Glands

Each healthy man has 2 testes that are oval-shaped and suspended outside their body in a pouch of skin (scrotum). See figure below.

Inside the testes, sperms (male sex cells) are produced. They are also the site for testosterone (male sex hormone) production.

Again. these properties are what make the testes essential for male sexuality, fertility, and well-being.

How to Take Care of Your Reproductive Glands?

Since the testes and ovaries are key for your sexuality, reproduction, and passion; and since they are directly linked with your Sacral Chakra, it is crucial that you know how to take care of them on a daily basis, and on the long run.

Find below some key tips to keep your reproductive system healthy, though I would personally add exercise and hydration to both groups:
